When to use a local account or SWIFT

Use a local receiving account when the payer can use the supported local payment route for that currency. This can simplify the payment and avoid the extra intermediaries involved in some international wires.

Use the SWIFT instructions when a suitable local route is unavailable and your payment is supported through international wire transfer.

1. Confirm the currency and country from which the payer will send the money.

2. Check the available Global accounts tabs and their instructions.

3. Choose the route that matches the payer’s bank transfer.

4. Share the entire instruction set, including any intermediary details if they are displayed.

A payment being denominated in USD does not automatically make it a domestic US transfer. The sending bank and payment route also matter.

If the client is uncertain which option their bank supports, send the question to Infinity support before the transfer. Bank or intermediary charges can differ by route.
